to find her perfect career fit.

We connect you with qualified employees

The Pennsylvania Primary Care Career Center partners with you to help gain exposure to your job openings and find qualified candidates. Here’s how we do it:

  • Posting your job openingson this website, 3RNET (the National Rural Recruitment and Retention Network), and on other free and paid job boards and social media.
  • Sending you candidates from our lists, 3RNet, and other sources. These candidates have been pre-screened to evaluate interest in your type of organization, specialty, region, and other factors.
  • Helping Community Health Centers (FQHCs) and other organizations improve recruitment and retention.

Organizational members of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers (PACHC) may use our services at no cost. Other employers pay for job postings and referrals on a graduated scale.

How we help employers

The Pennsylvania Primary Care Career Center works with employers across Pennsylvania to help them locate great candidates. We also offer education and services that can help you improve your recruitment and retention.

Preceptorships can help your recruitment

Universities and colleges continue to open up new physician assistant, nurse practitioner, behavioral health providers and other primary-care-clinician training programs to meet the growing need. This is increasing the need for clinical rotations and preceptorships.

While these can be time consuming for your providers, they also can lead to fulltime employment for the students whom you host. The Pennsylvania Primary Care Career Center has been working with a variety of programs to help them find preceptorship locations.

Employer’s FAQ

Is the Pennsylvania Primary Care Career Center a third-party recruiting firm?

No not really. Our main function is as a job posting and referral service for facilities providing quality care for underserved populations. So, while we do recruit candidates, our main role is as a referral source.

What is the charge for your services?

Members of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers (PACHC) do not pay for our services. For other employers, our rates vary depending on the size and type of the organization. Check out our job posting price list.

What kinds of clinicians can you help us find?

We want professionals who strive to earn a living where their heart is. These are special people who have an inner calling to serve. We specialize in primary care clinicians in medical, dental and behavior health care. Primary care medical specialties include family medicine, pediatrics, adult internal medicine, OB/GYN and psychiatry. In the dental field we help you find dentists and dental hygienists. Behavioral health providers include licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, and psychologists.

What do you do for employers?

Our main tasks are: post jobs and get them as much exposure as possible; forward interested candidates to employers for them to consider, interview and hire. But we also do a variety of other functions such as education for our members, coaching on recruiting, assisting with credentialing, and advocating for primary care facilities.

If I am not a Community Health Center, can I use the services of the Pennsylvania Primary Care Career Center?

Yes, but you will have to pay our fee if you are not a member of PACHC.

What outside services do you use?

The Career Center is a member of the National Rural Recruitment and Retention Network (3RNet). We also post jobs on PracticeLink, CareerMD and Indeed.com, and we use social media extensively.

Do you ever recommend third-party recruiting firms?

We refer our members to recruitment services that partner with the Commonwealth Purchasing Group (CPG.) Find out more at cwpurchasing.com.

How do I post a job with the Career Center?

The best way to post your job is to use our job posting form. But you can also send the job to Angela Marti, Recruitment Coordinator. Angela will reach out to you to update the job posting as necessary.
