Non-profit Community Health Center seeks a part-time Behavioral Health clinician to work as a member of the Behavioral Health Team to evaluate, treat and assist patients in overcoming mental health, social/emotional, and economic barriers that prevent optimal health and well-being. The Behavioral Health Specialist will work with the staff Psychiatrist and other team and interdisciplinary staff members to assess and provide therapeutic interventions for patients, adhering to practice standards as well as regulatory standards. The individual will be responsible for working with both individuals and groups within the center’s patient population, employing evidence-based practices in an integrated health care setting. She/he will work collaboratively with the center’s primary care providers to ensure whole person care.
Qualifications: Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Two years of clinical experience in community health care environment preferred. Extensive knowledge of principles, theories, values, and ethics of Behavioral Health treatment practices, including SBIRT, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based methodologies. Experience with electronic health records required. Must be highly organized individual with strong communications skills who is committed to providing high quality care to underserved and diverse populations. Some weekend and evening hours may be required. Second language a plus. Salary commensurate with experience. Competitive benefit package. EOE.
