Squirrel Hill Health Center, Pittsburgh – Behavioral Health and Medical Assisted Treatment LCSW – Part or Full Time

Squirrel Hill Health Center, a non-profit community health center, seeks a part-time or full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, to work as a key member of the Behavioral Health and Medical Assisted Treatment (MAT) teams to evaluate, treat, and assist patients in overcoming mental health, social/emotional, and economic barriers that prevent optimal health and well-being. As a clinical specialist, the clinician will work with both teams, including the staff psychiatrist, lead MAT provider, and interdisciplinary staff members to provide team-based coordinated care. The individual will assess and provide therapeutic intervention for patients who have co-morbid mental health and substance issues while adhering to practice and regulatory standards. The clinician will be responsible for working with both individuals and groups within the center’s patient population, employing evidence-based practices in an integrated health care setting. When patients require ongoing clinical services beyond the scope of our center, the clinician will connect patients to appropriate agencies, coordinating all aspects to ensure full compliance with mental health laws and confidentiality. They will work collaborative with the center’s providers to ensure holistic patient care, and when needed, provide patient, staff, community, and staff education seminars.

Qualifications: Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Two years of clinical experience in community health care environment preferred. Extensive knowledge of principles, theories, values, and ethics of Behavioral Health treatment practices, including SBIRT, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based methodologies. Experience in mental health and substance abuse assessment, evaluation, and treatment. Experience with electronic health records required. Must be highly organized individual with strong communications skills who is committed to providing high quality care to underserved and diverse populations. Some weekend and evening hours may be required. Second language a plus. Salary commensurate with experience. Competitive benefit package. CAADC preferred. EOE.
