Family Practice & Counseling Network, Philadelphia – Revenue Cycle Manager

Family Practice & Counseling Network is seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager; The Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for network wide revenue cycle management and all related process improvement initiatives to maximize the financial performance and integrity of health center activity. Oversees all revenue cycle activities including: claims processing, billing and vendor management, accounts receivable, patient collections, payment compliance, and revenue cycle training.

Essential Duties and Functions

Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage all departmental matters including personnel, resource management, reporting, training and other organizational requirements.
Ability to supervise and lead staff of various skills levels.
Coach, motivate, develop and provide guidance to direct reports.
Oversee the development, enhancement, and on-going education for all direct reports.
Oversees the management of select revenue cycle personnel. Trains, orients and evaluates performance of assigned personnel.
Develops work standards, monitors quality and quantity of work processed, and ensures that policies are communicated and administered consistently.
Works closely with site personnel and operations managers to monitor compliance to policies and procedures as they relate to the revenue cycle.
Manage timesheet and payroll submission related to direct report

Revenue Cycle Management
Advanced analytical and decision making skills.
Create workflows in collaboration with the Application Support Coordinator for process improvement by completing root cause analysis on ineffective processes.
Oversees processes to ensure effective optimization of revenue cycle design, evaluate current business offerings, and identify improvements, enhancements, and new service line opportunities.
Maintains a proactive working knowledge of all clinical and dental operations and workflows relative to the revenue cycle.
Establishes goals and develops training processes to ensure maximization of workforce.
Identities and analyzes financial reporting using Centricity Practice Management/Dentrix.
Collaborates with System Analyst to configure all PM systems relative to the revenue cycle including, fee schedules, insurance carriers, CPT/ICD codes, provider files, EDI set-up, administrative table maintenance, Hosted Claims Manager, task manager set up.
Establishes quality review processes to ensure the effectiveness of revenue cycle and make modifications as needed.
Ensures areas of responsibility achieve quarterly and annual goals and other established KPI’s.
Complies with federal and state laws, FPCN policies and procedures related to revenue cycle management.
Maintains all insurance billing manuals, and SFDS, billing, collections, AR and write off policies and procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or closely related field. Master’s degree preferred or ten (5) years of experience working as a leader in healthcare revenue cycle department.
Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in healthcare billing, practice management systems, accounts receivable, revenue cycle operations, coding compliances within a healthcare setting.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a managerial capacity.
Experience in advanced management to direct and develop policies and budgets.
Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities to achieve goals as required.
Ability to read and interpret an extensive variety of documents such as contracts, claims, instructions, policies and procedures.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
