BCHC is expanding our OB services to include a Centering Pregnancy program. We are currently hiring a full-time Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to assist women throughout the pregnancy, childbirth, post-partum. The CNM shall also provide health care to women and infants post-pregnancy (Gynecological). The CNM performs both clinical and administrative duties. They work closely with obstetricians and gynecologists in diagnosing and treating women with acute and chronic illnesses. The CNM may also work with male patients with reproductive health issues or sexually transmitted diseases. The CNM shall counsel and educate patients, conduct examinations and take detailed medical histories. Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, or order these tests to be done by technologists. They may also prescribe pharmaceuticals. Candidate must have a license to practice Midwifery and has attained national certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board, as well as hold a current PA registered nurses (RN) license in the State of PA with a MSN degree in nurse midwifery at an accredited program. Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required.
